What to See and What to Do

Get your Year of the Dragon off to a dazzling start by attending the Lunar New Year Fireworks Display on 24 January. Join hundreds of thousands of people in Asia's world city who will line the both sides of iconic Victoria Harbour to take in all the magic and excitement of this event. It's an astounding fireworks display that is sure to leave you in awe as the evening sky pulsates with the bright explosions launched from barges in the middle of the harbour. The night sky is turned into a bright canvass full of the aspirations of Hong Kong people during the Year of the Dragon.

 

Chinese New Year Race Day (Horse Racing)

Join the eager punters at the race track in Sha Tin for what is a unique Hong Kong tradition. On the Third Day ( 25 January) of Chinese New Year, local sports fans hope to kick off the New Year with a winning bet at the track. Even better join a Come Horseracing Tour from the comfort of the Members' Enclosure.
