| | Happy holidays, everyone! | | Celebrating Passover I went to my first vegetarian seder several years ago in college. We had vegetarian matzo ball soup and roasted beets amongst other vegetarian dishes. Instead of the traditional shank bone, the host had drawn a picture to represent the bone. I can't say it was the most traditional seder, because after the meal, we all sat around the piano and sang Beatles tunes. These days, many more people are hosting themed eco or social justice seders and incorporating readings and discussions relating to current social and environmental issues.
