From Linda Garrison, your Guide to Cruises
Last month, Oceania Cruises launched its newest ship, the Riviera, which is a sister ship to the Marina launched last year. I attended the christening in Barcelona and sailed on the Riviera for nine nights. Let's take a tour of the new ship.

Riviera - New Ship from Oceania Cruises
Cruising on the new ship for several days gave me plenty of time to explore all the nooks and crannies, taste the delicacies in all the restaurants, and relax on the very comfortable bed.

Dining on the Riviera
The Riviera has nine diverse dining venues. Since it's my job, I tried seven of them (all but the two with an extra surcharge) and loved the cuisine, presentation, and variety.

Sleeping on the Riviera
The Riviera has four different types of cabins and four different types of suites. Almost all the accommodations have balconies. Those who love a spacious bath will appreciate the separate bath and shower in these cabins. Unlike the restaurants, I didn't get a chance to try (i.e. sleep in) all the different types of cabins, but I did tour all of them and get photos.

Riviera Indoor Common Areas
Thirty pictures of the interior common areas on the Riviera, including the spa, fitness center, lounges, and some of the fascinating (and expensive) artwork
