| Family-Friendly Hostels
With summer vacation just ahead, now's a good time for a reminder that family-friendly hostels can be a great option for budget travel in Europe. Hostels have been changing over the years, and many now welcome families with private "family rooms". Hostels have other benefits besides low price, too: they're friendly places, which is nice with kids, and often they're housed in character buildings -- click above for a beautiful photo. Breakfast is usually provided, and sometimes dinners are available as well.
| Family Suites at Disney World
Families love the convenience of staying at a suite that provides extra sleeping spaces and a kitchenette, and Orlando offers plenty of choices for all-suites hotels and resorts. Disney World has taken a while to embrace the family suites concept, but now it's done so in a major way at its new Art of Animation Resort; also, a half dozen Deluxe Villa Resorts have suites with up to three bedrooms.
