At first glance, Pittsburgh and beach activities might seem incongruent. But at the edge of the city, nestled along the Monongahela River, Sandcastle offers urban dwellers a refuge from the heat and a simulated day at the beach. The full-featured water park has all the usual suspects, including body slides, a wave pool, a lazy river, and wedgie-inducing speed slides. This year, it is debuting Dragon's Den, a bowl ride.
