Last night, I started my annual bathroom spring cleaning. Observant readers will note that it is nearly summer, and perhaps past the time when spring cleaning is really spring cleaning. However, I have an excuse.
That excuse is this: I am pretty sure that my lotions and potions are breeding in the medicine cabinet and under the sink. Either that, or there's a wormhole in there that periodically allows sunscreens and makeup from ages past to reappear in my bathroom.
I'm also reasonably certain the sunscreen was no good. It had entirely separated into layers like one of those sand art projects kids used to make at the fair.
Because I'm so pale I'm nearly see-through (and because I'm scared of getting skin cancer) I wear sunscreen all year round. But I like to have a lot on hand, so it's time to replace the old stuff as well.
You can spend a lot on sunscreen if you feel like it, but I'm imagining you probably don't. So the good news is that there are plenty of drugstore brands out there that will fit the bill.
