From Linda Garrison, your Guide to Cruises
This week is always a good time to review what's happened over the past year. How many of the eight new ocean-going ships launched in 2011 can you name?

Disney Dream
The 130,000-ton Disney Dream was the first new ship launched in 2011. Although she is 50 percent larger than her two sister ships, the Disney Dream has a familiar, classic look, filled with elegant spaces and great Disney touches.

Marina of Oceania Cruises
The Marina was launched in February 2011, and is a real beauty. The 1250-guest ship is about twice as large as the other Oceania ships and features more dining venues, lounges, public spaces, and cabin/suite categories.

Carnival Magic
Carnival launched its newest ship in Venice in May, and the Carnival Magic is now sailing from Galveston. The ship has many of the features of its sister ship the Carnival Dream, but also a few new ones that cruisers will love.

Celebrity Silhouette
The Celebrity Silhouette is the fourth ship in the Solstice-class, and she has many features found on her sister ships. The new ship also has two great new restaurants.
