Our deadline is TOMORROW and we still need you in the fight to save whales and our planet! Thanks to an amazing response, we just blew through our $125,000 goal and set a new goal to raise $175,000. I know we can reach it with your help.

Whaling ships have been steaming towards the Southern Ocean for three weeks and Japan will begin hunting down and killing whales any day now.

Time is running out! Please stand up for the whales by making an urgent gift to help us put an end to commercial whaling by midnight tomorrow.

The reality is, if we care about whales and unite together, we can save them. This year, alone, we’ve already gotten the Obama administration to support a measure that led to ending corrupt vote-buying in the International Whaling Commission (IWC) and led the Administration to impose diplomatic sanctions on Iceland for hunting endangered fin whales.

Now, with public demand for whale meat disappearing, Japan’s whaling industry in debt, and public awareness increasing around the world – this is the moment to push for an end to commercial whaling once and for all.

Nana, that is why this is the best time to join Greenpeace and help save these magnificent whales together. Battles for whales and the planet have been heating up, and we’re tackling more environmental challenges in 2012 than ever before. But we need to have you onboard if we hope to make this kind of massive change possible next year.

Help us reach our $175,000 goal by midnight tomorrow to ensure that we have the resources we need to save whales and protect our planet. Just 22 more donations from your state will get us there!

For nearly forty years, Greenpeace has been on the front-lines of the effort to save the world's whales. Today, after years of progress in dismantling the whaling industry, we are pushing for a final, long-term solution to protect whales. With your support, we’ll work to end Japan's subsidy for whaling, close the deadly “science loophole,” and convert the IWC into a conservation body that protects whales for decades to come.

But doing this work requires resources. We don’t take money from government or corporations, so all our work — all of it — is 100% driven by you.

Thank you again for taking a stand for whales and for our planet.

Sincerely,

Philip Radford
Greenpeace

P.S. We need just 22 more gifts from your state to reach our $175,000 goal before midnight tomorrow. Make your urgent, year-end gift online or at 1-800-722-6995 today and help stop the needless slaughter of whales. And thanks again for all you do.
