Best of Europe

From James Martin, your Guide to Europe Travel
If you've been following along on the EuroTravel Facebook Page you've gotten some bonus information--and so have I. Mary Ann Cameron has alerted us to the walls of Chester, better, she says, than those of York, which we touted in our "Best Walls of Europe" article. So now we've updated the page and wishing we were there with Mary Ann as a guide.

Europe's Best Walled Cities
Yes, everybody likes to feel the security of a massive wall protecting their city. Here are some of the best, meaning most complete, walls upon which you can bike, hike, and even stop for a cold one.

Pigeons!
Yep, there are pigeons in just about every city you'll come across. Perhaps that's bad news to you, but pigeons have been honored for bravery in war, desired for their protein in hard times and their taste in good times, and have even inspired their own architecture. Read all about it in our latest article. We'll even tell you how to order a domestic one for dinner.

Bach, Bacchus and the Climats de Bourgogne
A great glass of burgundy and the sonorous echo of classical music or great jazz. You find it all in the wine village of Meursault in Burgundy later this month.

A walk through Testaccio
Testaccio is one of those hidden Rome neighborhoods with an entirely different feel about it. The architecture is different, the hill in the center isn't natural, and the food is the food the butchers would bring home in the lean times, the "fifth quarter" of the animal.
