Celebrate dads with big feasts, bold flavors, and lots of love.
| | Father's Day, like Mother's Day, is a great opportunity to capitalize on your knowledge of the special dad in your life. Is he the type to really appreciate a home-cooked dinner, or would he rather do the cooking himself? Over the past couple of years, my dad has been learning his way around a kitchen for the first time, and it's been wild to hear him say things like "how about I cook for us tonight?" Whether or not your dad likes cooking like mine does, try your hand at cooking him the perfect steak, or do something different and whip him up a tasty and filling brunch. And a dad with a sweet tooth will always appreciate a treat to top off his meal. Staying in on Father's Day? Transforming your dining area into an at-home restaurant (complete with expertly mixed cocktails) will go a long way towards making this one especially memorable. And if he's less kitchen-inclined (or is a new dad who's preoccupied with activities other than cooking), there's no shortage of fantastic sources online for food and drink gifts. Treat him to his favorite steak and other meats, or a selection of his most beloved cheeses. Coffee connoisseurs will love a cold brew coffee maker for the hot summer months; crafty dads can flex their at-home beer brewing muscles; while grillmasters will love one of these top-rated charcoal picks. While circumstances are outwardly different this year, the wonderful feelings generated by sharing delicious food with family will always remain the same. Let's celebrate the most important fathers in our lives with big feasts, bold flavors, and lots of love. -Jess Kapadia Food Editor, The Spruce Eats | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | You are receiving this newsletter because you subscribed to The Spruce Eats newsletter.
